SENSELESS

    Sent west
    Senseless
    Let the hours unfold
    The answers
    I don’t want to hear

    Gold pressed
    Temptress
    Open your mouth
    Scream
    Restless
    Run

Let the rain through your hands
    Water cuts, around the sun

A steady hand to calm the sand
Take another hour, let the weather pass

    PLAY OUT

I realize in the day time
    In the cold light
    I’m going under

    On the street signs
    The sunrise
    I forget the feeling
    Before it’s over

Hold the ocean over my head
Hope that the answers go with the ask

Waiting for something to play out

I’ll let it bloom and then let it die
I’ll let the hours fall into the night

Waiting for something to play out

    CARRY ON

    Searching for the light
    Running from the night

    Carry me away
    But I just wanna stay

    Cut from memories
    Holding out my hands
    Trying to understand

    The TV plays a song
    And I just carry on

    PERMANENCE

    Winding tighter than we should
    A noise that started small

    There’s no sleeping in
    No getaway, just walls
Hold my heart, if you could
    Winding tighter than we should

From every thought in every day
Like falling sand and breaking light
A second skin we’re living in

That starts to set in permanence
    Winding tighter than we should

    AIR

    We started something
    Just to let it burn

    But this feeling stays
    In the air
    Like a wildfire

    Got lost
    No chance at saving
    When two hearts come apart
    With no explaining

    In the air
    Set my intention
    Try to remember

A symphony that’s getting hard to stop
    Indigo skies lift me up

    FLESH AND BLOOD

    Tell me
Are we watching the same show?
    What don’t I get?
    And when does it end?

    Trying not to fall
    Beneath the waves
    But it won’t be long

    No quiet from the hurricane
Holding out for a little grace
Hoping that this is gonna break

I’d change it if I could
But I’m only flesh and blood

    REFLECTION

    Caught my reflection
    Coming back to me

Sent a shiver down my spine
    Barely can recognize

    In the river now
    Just have to swim

    This is really happening
    But we’re still breathing

    Life feels like a sleepwalk

    I killed my memory
At the start of the century

    Caught my reflection
    Coming back to me

    DAYLIGHT

    It only lasts so long
    When it’s gone, it’s gone

    In broad daylight,
    I swear I’m alright

    In broad daylight
I keep trying to get it right

    I’ll take my time
    Try and change my mind

    In broad daylight
    I swear I’m alright

    MASKS

    Heavy weight on your back
    No space to counteract

    Shed your masks
    Pray before it’s passed

I’ll note the day and month
    As you throw history off

    Play the part
    Burn a heart

    Light as day
    Nightmare and dream
A silent storm waiting for me

    TRAFFIC

    Took a walk
To give up a time that’s been lost
Day time, the quiet will be quieter
It only serves to show there’s no light in you

Hold the day down for a while
Watch the sun rise, force a smile
    Been running from the start
    I’ll travel slow, no headlights

    The sky calls
    And breaks me into song

    Home before the day falls
I’m down as the weather calms

A stone thrown into the dark
    Rips through my tender heart

    Watch the traffic flow
Breathe in & let it go
